Alicia Freckmann is the proud owner of Back in Balance Therapeutic Massage Spa and has been Licensed in Massage Therapy since 2009.
My first love is my family, husband, 2 boys (Ayden and Ty), and our cats (Lexi and Lana)
My second love is for my clients whom I have been seeing since 2009 and have felt a strong connection with them ever since. My passion revolves around helping others treat their chronic pain and day to day stress.
My goal during your session is to minimize as much pain and muscle spasm/fatigue as possible through massage therapy.
From the moment you walk into our Spa to the very moment you walk out, we want you to feel welcomed, relaxed and rejuvenated.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you with your health goals!
My journey began when I graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a BS in Occupational Therapy in 1995. In that role, I had worked in a variety of settings including a Rehabilitation Hospital in Scottsdale Arizona, Skilled Nursing Facilities (sub-acute and long-term health areas) in Milwaukee and Cedarburg and in the School System for MPS.
In Feb of 1997, I was lucky enough to marry my soulmate. After a few years, I decided to continue my education in the field of massage and bodywork, and I graduated from Utah College of Massage Therapy in 1999. At that point, I was fortunate enough to able to split my time between providing massage therapy in a multitude of settings including Spas, Chiropractic Offices, and Health and Wellness Centers while also working at Nicolet High School in a dual role: Occupational Therapist/Assistive Technologist.
I was blessed with a son in Jan of 2007 and another son in Jan of 2009. A few years later, I decided to focus solely on my massage career.
I am dedicated to supporting those who wish to take an active role in their own health and well-being. I feel blessed to be able to help guide others along their path to wellness!
I graduated from Herzing University in 2015 and have been a licensed Massage Therapist at Back in Balance since 2017.
It is important to me that my clients feel comfortable and respected during their massage session with me. Communication is a very big part in massage, before the massage begins, I like to have a thorough consultation with my clients to make sure we are working towards your mental and physical goals.
I have a love for camping and the outdoors. My mom directed me into the massage field earlier in life when she reminded me of how I would go around the campfire giving shoulder massages to my family members. I fell in love with providing therapeutic massage quickly while I was in school and just knew this was the career for me.
I specialize in deep tissue massage and migraine related symptoms, as well as Swedish/relaxation massage. I am excited to keep exploring and expanding my knowledge in the field and I look forward to working with you.
I came to Milwaukee around 8 years ago to earn my BS in Occupational Therapy and graduated in 2017; after graduation I worked across the fields in behavioral and mental health.
While mental health advocacy is a large part of my life, I felt called to massage therapy and graduated in April 2021 from Everyday Bliss Institute for Holistic Wellbeing.
Throughout school I took an interest in cupping, connective/therapeutic work, aromatherapy, and prenatal massage; my hope is to blend physical and mental well-being throughout my practice.
In my free time I am an active aerialist (aerial silks) and rock-climbing enthusiast, if I’m not relaxing in the yard or watering my plants.
I have been an LMT for 15 years. From chiropractor offices, spas, to delving in ayurveda. The more angles to address the problem at hand, the more options at relief. Next step in the journey is branching out into equine massage to add to the toolbox.
I am certified in Sports massage, Deep Tissue massage, Trigger point therapy, Prenatal massage, Lymphatic drainage massage, Oncology, as well as Hot stone massage. I utilize stretching to help keep those muscles from snapping back like a rubber band.
During my off time I enjoy being around horses, gaming and playing pool.
Massage has a way of helping us look at the glass half full instead of half empty. My goal is to aid in the uplifting of energy and have you leave feeling your best.
I Started my wellness journey in 2005 as a rehabilitation aide/CNA. I wanted to work more into the field so in 2013 I received my Massage Therapy License through Wisconsin school of Massage Therapy.
As a Massage Therapist I have worked in Hospice, Oncology and alongside Chiropractors, Acupuncturists, Nurses, as well as physical and occupational therapists.
My Massage techniques are Swedish/Relaxation, Prenatal, Hot stone and Deep tissue.
I am a mother of two (now adult) amazing daughters. I enjoy sunny warm days, the ocean and walking with my dog "Bella".
I never thought my life would involve being a Massage Therapist, but after receiving my first massage I knew I had to. I finished Massage Therapy school in 2017 at Cortiva Institute in Illinois. On top of my Massage career, I decided to join the United States Air Force in 2018, starting a new 6-year journey.
Even still, I never wanted to stop pursuing Massage Therapy. I opened up my own practice in South Dakota where I was stationed. Now, after 6 years, I've decided to separate from the military and life brought me to Wisconsin.
I love seeing the relief of my clients and having a strong relationship that you build with them. I like to focus on relieving the current pain but also focus on things that may be the root of the problem. My specialty areas are Deep Tissue, Myofascial and Trigger point therapy. I am huge on communication and want my clients to have an amazing and consistent experience within my sessions. My promise to you is to put 100% of my focus and energy into every Massage stroke and technique and hope that my clients will see and feel that.
My wellness journey began after having a repetitive work injury leading me to find ways to stop the pain. Receiving different modalities of physical therapy, I had learned how effective body work and helps the body perform daily functions better. I have always found helping people satisfying and I love sharing ways to release muscle pain through self-care.
Beginning my LMT career in 2021 I since have worked hard to help heal others, I love seeing my clients relax and moving with less tension.
Modalities that I practice are Deep tissue, lymphatic drainage, Swedish, Cupping and Trigger point therapy. I prefer client communication, when need be, but I try to stay quiet to help promote relaxation and allow you to focus on your own mind and body.
I look forward to working with you here at Back in Balance.
I have had a love for massage therapy for as long as I can remember. During high school, I took as many anatomy and physiology classes as I could. I had self-taught myself some basic massage techniques through YouTube and executed those techniques through immediate family for practice. Between family gathering shoulder massages or massage table relaxation basics, the immediate feedback I was receiving was incredible, very reassuring that massage was definitely something I wanted to do long term.
I started my massage wellness journey at Wisconsin School of Massage Therapy, March of 2022. I then graduated May of 2023, receiving my license July of 2023. Even though I have only been doing massage for 1 year, I have learned so much about myself through massage.
My massage modalities are Swedish/relaxation, firm-deep tissue, Prenatal, Hot Stone, Cupping, Aromatherapy, trigger point therapy/therapeutics, active isolated stretching/pin and stretch
I love incorporating stretching with my massage treatments! I make it my top priority to make sure a massage treatment session is all about the clients’ needs and concerns and work around those to make sure the client’s outcome is great. While there is some communication during a session, I try to keep it quiet for the treatment to be relaxing. I am a strong believer in how much massage can help either mentally, physically, emotionally, or all three! "A 60-minute massage can be equivalent to 7-8 hours of sleep, or 3 hours of restorative rest”.
Outside of Massage, I love to go up north and enjoy nature at my cabin! Even though I love anything to do with water, like kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, I love fall the most! 🍂
Hello! My name is Jennette and I have lived in Wisconsin my entire life. I am married and have a 16 Daughter, a 23 year old Step Son and I also have a 4 year old Pup named "Nova”. I became interested in Massage almost 20 years ago when I received benefits from it myself for the very first time. I was hooked!
I graduated from Herzing University and I have been massaging now for over twelve years. Ten of those years were spent doing Hospice and Palliative Massage all over Southeastern Wisconsin. I specialize in Swedish, Myofacial Release, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Sports Massage, Geriatric Massage and Palliative Massage.
When I’m not massaging, I love spending time with my Family here and in Puerto Rico, cooking, sunsets and Bonfires, making people laugh, roadtrips, drawing, biking and hiking.
Building relationships with my clients helps me better recognize and target their specific needs. When I see a positive change and gratitude expressed to me after a therapeutic massage session, it reminds why I chose this field of work in the first place.
